Scrap Metal Pick-up

The next date for scrap metal collection is  August 15, 2026

Please note the following:

1. This is a community service is facilitated by a kind community member. All monies collected are donated to the Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group, GNAG.
2. If you have questions about the pick-up, email glebescrap@gmail.com, not GNAG.
3. Please remove wrappings, cardboard, plastic, CDs etc – Items left in their boxes will be rejected.
4. Please make sure you read the list of metals, for example: We do not take batteries
5. Have patience, sometimes it gets busy and I need to check what you are giving me (if you give me something I cannot take for recycling, I have to dispose of it properly).

Accepted items:

• Most metals: Iron, Steel, Copper, Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Zinc, Lead …
• Kitchen: Oven, Sinks, Taps, Mini Fridges, Cutlery, Pots/Pans, Baking Trays, Microwaves …
• Garden/Garage: Tools, Bikes, Car Parts, Rakes/Shovels, Car Batteries …
• Office: Filing Cabinets, Lamps, Desk chairs, Trashcans, Safes, Hole Punches …
• Electronics: TVs, Stereos, Printers, Computers, Keyboards/Mice, Cables…
• Sporting: Golf Clubs, Metal Baseball Bats, Bikes, Goalie masks …
• DIY: cables/wires, copper pipes, connectors, radiators, window weights…
• Other: Metal containers, Patio Sets, Downspouts/Gutters, Door Frames Lead Acid Batteries, Old Cables (USB/charging cables, connectors) ….

Items we can not accept:

• Some Metals: Mercury, Lithium, Sodium
• Medical/Unhygenic Items: any item associated with human byproducts
• Recycling Items: Aluminum Cans/Foil, Regular Batteries (AA, AAA, etc.)
• Large Items: Sofas, Mattresses, Large Fridges
• Hazardous Waste: Aerosol Cans, Spray Paint, Propane Tanks, Smoke Detectors
